There’s no dancing or singing, but Cao Son Market in Lao Cai Province always turns colorful and festive on Wednesday, when ethnic people gather there to buy and sell goods, dine and drink, or just wander to enjoy the ambience of the montagnard market. There is nothing more interesting than joining the realm of Flower Hmong, Nung and Dao tribes.
BRIEF ITINERARY:
Night 01: Taking overnight train to Lao Cai
Day 01: Lao Cai - Cao Son market. Free at leisre
Day 02: visit the village of Flower Hmong and taking boat trip on Chay river.
DETAILED ITINERARY: Night 01: taking the overnight train from Hanoi to Lao Cai city.
Day 01: Lao Cai - Cao Son market ( B, L, D)
Am: having breakfast in Lao Cai city, proceeding to Cao Son region, stop en route for photos. You will join the stream of people from Lung Khau Nhin and some nearby villages heading to Cao Son. Free to discover the market with our tour guide. Heading for the lunch in Cao Son Ecolodge.
Pm: visit the primitive forest in La Pan Tan commune. Back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 02: Cao Son exploration ( B, L, D)
Am: embark on a soft trek from Sicala village to Ta Thang. This village is located on the hill side from where you can behold the panorama of Ta Thang and the green valley. Lunch in a local restaurant.
Pm: transfer to Coc Ly pier, taking boat trip downstream Chay river. We will stop to visit Tien cave and Trung Do village, the habitat of Tay tribe before getting on the car return to Lao Cai city. Dinner then taking overnight train back to Hanoi.
